The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), in collaboration with the office of the North-Central Zonal Representative, has officially announced the date for the 2026 North Central National Division One Handball League.
The announcement was contained in a letter issued by the Office of the zonal representative North-central on the board of handball Federation of Nigeria(HFN) and addressed to Commissioners of Sports, Chairmen of Sports Commissions, Directors of Sports, Chairmen and Secretaries of State Handball Associations, as well as Chairmen of handball clubs and academies across the North-Central states.
According to the letter, the Indoor Sports Hall at Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, will host the 2026 North Central National Division One Handball League from 23rd September to 1st October 2026.
All participating teams/clubs are expected to arrive on 23rd September, while the competition proper will commence on 24th September and run through 30th September 2026. Teams and officials are expected to depart on 1st October 2026.
The federation urged all participating teams/clubs to make adequate arrangements for their arrival and departure within the stipulated period.
It further stated that each participating delegation should comprise 22 persons, made up of 18 players and four officials.
