The Osun Military Paramilitary Games 2025 entered Day Four on Monday, October 27th, with an exciting display of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship as officers from various security agencies battled for supremacy in Table Tennis and Indoor Games.
The contests, held at the Michael & Felicia Alabi Sports Hall, Osogbo City Stadium, featured gripping matches in Table Tennis, Chess, Scrabble, Draft, and Ayo Olopon, showcasing the mental dexterity and competitive spirit of participants across both male and female categories.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) had a brilliant outing in Table Tennis, sweeping the gold medals in both the men’s and women’s categories. The officers demonstrated agility, precision, and resilience to outplay their opponents.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) secured silver in both categories, while the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) claimed bronze, rounding off a fiercely contested event.
In the Scrabble events, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) emerged champions in both men’s and women’s divisions, displaying remarkable wordplay and mental sharpness.
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) finished second in both categories, with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) settling for bronze in the women’s and men’s events respectively.
The NSCDC once again proved its dominance in indoor sports by clinching gold in the men’s chess event, followed by the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) and NDLEA, who took silver and bronze respectively.
In the women’s chess category, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) took the top spot, while the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) earned silver and the FRSC completed the podium with bronze.
It was another fruitful outing for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as their players captured gold medals in both the men’s and women’s Draft events.
The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) and FRSC followed closely with silver medals, while Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Immigration Service took bronze in their respective divisions.
The traditional game of Ayo Olopon added cultural colour and excitement to the day’s proceedings.
In the men’s event, NSCDC continued their impressive run by winning gold, while NCoS and NIS took silver and bronze.
In the women’s Ayo Olopon, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) emerged champions, defeating stiff competition from NDLEA and NCoS, who claimed silver and bronze respectively.
Day Four of the Osun Military Paramilitary Games 2025 highlighted the incredible balance of strength and intelligence among participating agencies. While the NSCDC maintained a strong overall lead with multiple gold medals in indoor games, the Nigeria Police Force made a bold statement in Table Tennis, and the FRSC proved dominant in Scrabble.
