Promising forward Qamar Adegoke has officially parted ways with Nasarawa United following the conclusion of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, after playing a pivotal role in helping the club avoid relegation.
The 2004-born attacker, who joined the Solid Miners during the second half of the campaign, made an instant impact, contributing directly to four goals in his first eight NPFL appearances — scoring three and assisting one. Remarkably, Nasarawa United won every league match in which Qamar found the back of the net, underlining his match-winning influence.
Adegoke’s form also extended to cup competitions. In the 2025 President Federation Cup, he was a key figure in Nasarawa United’s campaign, most notably in the Round of 32 clash against Ijele FC where he came off the bench to score a brace, inspiring his side to a memorable victory.
Despite his short stint, Qamar has endeared himself to fans and gained attention across the NPFL for his energy, composure, and killer instinct in front of goal.
However, the young star has now decided to move on in search of a new challenge. Sources close to the player confirm that at least two NPFL clubs — including one set to compete in continental football next season — are actively exploring the possibility of signing him. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports also suggest there may be interest from European clubs.
Speaking on his future, Qamar, fondly known as “Qamar Qamar” among teammates and supporters, said:
“I’m open to a fresh challenge. I want to win trophies with a top club, whether it’s here or abroad. I won’t hesitate to take that step if the opportunity is right.”
