DS International FC has officially dismissed widespread reports suggesting that its player, Awojobi Tomiwa, has completed a move to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City FC.
In a statement released by the club’s management under the chairmanship of Obianke Damilola B., DS International clarified that the claims circulating in the media and on social platforms are speculative and inaccurate.
According to the club, while discussions may be ongoing, no agreement has been reached between any of the parties involved. The management further emphasized that Awojobi Tomiwa, who is currently on the books of Osun United FC, remains a registered player of the club as of now.
“We are using this avenue to debunk the circulating speculation that our player, Awojobi Tomiwa, has allegedly signed a deal with Ikorodu City FC,” the statement read. “Negotiations are still ongoing and no agreement has been confirmed at this time.”
DS International also appealed to fans and the general public to remain calm and patient, assuring that official communication will be made public once a final decision is reached regarding the player’s future.
The statement was formally signed by Obianke Damilola B., Chairman of DS International FC, and issued through Akeju Babatunde ObageSport.
This clarification puts to rest, at least for now, the speculation surrounding the talented player’s potential move, as all parties await a definitive outcome.
