The football community in Osun State is set to witness an exciting start to another competitive calendar as the 2026 Oriade Pre-Season Football Tournament officially kicks off on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Osogbo Grammar School Football Pitch.
Organized by Oriade Football Club, and proudly powered by OpekeSpice and Niyazbam, the tournament serves as a preparatory platform for clubs ahead of the 2026 season of the Nationwide League One (NLO), scheduled to commence on April 10, 2026.
With the NLO adopting an enhanced stadium-based format aimed at strengthening security, improving officiating standards, and boosting broadcast appeal, the Oriade Pre-Season Tournament offers clubs an invaluable opportunity to fine-tune tactics, integrate new signings, and assess squad depth under competitive conditions.
Tournament Format
The 2026 edition features 12 mostly NLO clubs, drawn into four groups. Only the top team from each group will advance to the semi-finals, ensuring that every group-stage fixture carries decisive weight.
Semi-Final 1: Winner Group A vs Winner Group C
Semi-Final 2: Winner Group B vs Winner Group D
Winners progress to the Grand Final on March 22.
