The Oriade Football Club Pre-Season Tournament continues to gather momentum as four out of the ten elite slots have now been officially filled. In a major boost to the competition’s prestige, the organizers have confirmed that the defending champions, NA Royal FC of Kwara State, and Telu FC of Iwo have formally committed to the 2026 edition.

They join Victory FC and Dokkal Khairu FC, who were the first to secure their participation in this highly anticipated pre-season showpiece.
This tournament serves as a vital preparation phase for the Nationwide League One (NLO), which has officially set its 2026 season kickoff for April 10, 2026.
NA Royal FC (Kwara State): Returning as the champions of the inaugural edition, the Ilemona-based side is known for its clinical efficiency. Having recently represented Kwara State on the national stage at the President Bola Tinubu’s Cup, they enter the tournament as the team to beat.
Telu FC (Iwo, Osun State): A professional outfit registered with the Osun State FA, Telu FC is recognized for its robust youth development structure. Their participation adds local Osun State rivalry and high technical quality to the lineup.
The 2nd Edition of the Oriade FC Pre-Season Tournament is strictly limited to ten (10) NLO teams to maintain an elite level of competition.
High-profile scouts will be in attendance to monitor talent during the knockout stages, providing players with a direct pathway to professional advancement.
Beyond the winner’s trophy, awards will be presented for Man of the Match (every game), Best Coach, and the Most Disciplined Team.
The tournament is designed to simulate the intensity of the upcoming NLO season, ensuring participating clubs are match-ready by April.
