Hammola Football Club, fondly referred to as the “Lee Bombers,” are set to begin their 2026 Nationwide League One (NLO) campaign at the Oduduwa Ile-Ife Stadium center, following the official release of fixtures on April 14, 2026.

The Ido-Osun based outfit enters the new season under fresh leadership, with Head Coach Ibraheem Mutiulahi Okikiola taking charge after his recent move from Ejigbo City FC. He succeeds Mudathir Adekunle and is tasked with steering the club into a new competitive phase.

During the off-season, Coach Okikiola implemented a comprehensive restructuring process centered on tactical discipline and youth development, signaling a clear intent to build a promotion-contending squad. His philosophy emphasizes a blend of structured gameplay and the integration of emerging talents, positioning Hammola FC as one of the teams to watch in the upcoming campaign.

Speaking on the team team’s preparedness, Coach Okikiola said the team is ready and promotion is non negotiable. “We are ready for the season, we achieved it last year, we can do it again, ” he opined.

Competing in an eight-team group format, all matches will be staged at the Ile-Ife venue, creating a highly competitive and centralized contest environment. The Lee Bombers will open their season with a crucial encounter against Àṣẹ Ridyem FC—a fixture that has historically delivered tightly contested outcomes. Notably, Hammola FC edged their opponents 2-1 in a memorable clash during the April 2025 NLO season, a result they will aim to replicate as they seek an early statement win.

Beyond the opener, Hammola FC faces a challenging lineup of fixtures against formidable opponents including AAYK FC, Karamba FC, Fehinty FC, Ilé Ogbó United FC, Telu FC, and Ìgbàjọ United FC—the latter recently relegated from the Nigeria National League, adding further intensity and experience to the group.

Hammola FC’s optimism heading into the 2026 season is firmly rooted in their impressive performances in the previous campaign. The club dominated proceedings at the Ile Ogbó center before advancing to the final playoffs at the Sagamu center, where they delivered standout performances against notable sides such as Karim Adeyemi FC and Ekiti United FC.

With momentum from last season and a renewed technical direction, Hammola FC will be aiming to consolidate their status as one of the most ambitious sides in the NLO. As the new season unfolds, all eyes will be on the Lee Bombers to see if their blend of tactical innovation and youthful energy can translate into a successful push for promotion.
