The 2025 Ardova Handball Premier League Phase 2, taking place at the Rowe Park Sports Complex and the National Institute of Sports (NIS), Surulere, is poised for a dramatic conclusion with the final matches scheduled for December 5. The tournament has delivered high-octane action, widely broadcast live to fans across the country via HFN TV on its official Facebook and YouTube channel.

The league table at the close of Day 9 (December 3, 2025) shows that the title in both the men’s and women’s categories remains within reach for the top two teams, while surprising upsets have defined the decisive Phase 2.

The title race in the Men’s division is firmly controlled by Safety Shooters, who appear unstoppable after an impressive run.

The Unstoppable Leader: Safety Shooters (52 Points) are the clear front-runners, boasting a colossal goal difference of +203. Their consistency has been unrivaled, suffering only one loss throughout the season.

Rima Strikers (49 Points) have cemented their second-place position, opening a two-point gap over COAS Shooters (47 Points) following a massive victory against their rivals on Day 7 of Phase 2 (Rima beat COAS 39-25).

A major story of Phase 2 is the struggles of defending champions Tojemarine Academy. They currently sit in 6th place with 37 points, well out of contention for the trophy after a series of difficult results in Lagos.

Niger United (42 Points) is holding strong in 4th place after a recent narrow victory over Correction Boys (28-26).

The Women’s category has seen a monumental shift, though the defending champions still lead the pack as they pursue a record fifth consecutive title.

League leaders Safety Babes (37 Points) remain at the top, but their quest for a five-peat was dramatically tested when Omo Ogiefo Academy handed them their first defeat in three years with a shock 24-21 victory on Day 4.

Rima Queens (34 Points) are the strongest challengers, maintaining a close three-point deficit after securing crucial wins, including a recent hard-fought 27-23 victory over Plateau Peacocks.

Following their historic upset, league debutants, Omo Ogiefo Academy (29 Points) have solidified their 3rd position, demonstrating their intent with dominant performances, such as a 38-24 win over Rivers Queens and their surprise win over league leaders Safety Babes.

Imo Grasshoppers (28 Points) are holding 4th place after delivering one of the phase’s most comprehensive victories, thrashing Ekiti Queens 40-21.

With only two matchdays left, the final standings will be determined by the head-to-head results among the top contenders, guaranteeing a thrilling climax to the 2025 Ardova Handball Premier League.
