The 4th Edition of the Ajara Humanitarian Foundation U-17 Football Championship, organized in partnership with Ilaji Soccer Academy, officially entered its Round of 16 stage on Sunday, 12th October 2025, at the Osogbo Grammar School Football Pitch.

Two exciting fixtures marked the beginning of the knockout stage, producing great footballing moments as CAC Grammar School and Oloore FC Ifon booked their places in the Quarterfinals.

The opening Round of 16 encounter between CAC Grammar School and Sodiq Adeleke FC lived up to expectations as both teams showed strong defensive organization and tactical discipline.

After a goalless first half, CAC Grammar School broke the deadlock in the second half with a decisive strike that proved to be the only goal of the game. Despite several attempts from Sodiq Adeleke FC to find an equalizer, CAC Grammar School held firm until the final whistle, sealing a 1–0 victory and a spot in the Quarterfinals.

The second fixture of the day between YSF Warriors FC and Oloore FC Ifon was also a thrilling match that was fiercely contested from start to finish.

Oloore FC took an early lead in the first half, but YSF Warriors responded with relentless pressure in the second half and were rewarded with a well-deserved equalizer that pushed the match into penalties.

In a tense shootout, Oloore FC held their nerves to win 4–3 on penalties, eliminating a gallant YSF Warriors side to join CAC Grammar School in the last eight.

With Sunday’s results, CAC Grammar School and Oloore FC Ifon have become the first teams to advance to the Quarterfinals of the 2025 edition. The tournament continues next weekend at the Osogbo Grammar School Football Pitch with more Round of 16 clashes featuring some of the most promising sides in the competition.
