Spanish La Liga club Sevilla FC have celebrated their Nigerian striker Akor Adams following his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for this month’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
The club took to their official Facebook page to share the news with a congratulatory message that read:

According to the list released by the NFF Communications Department, the Super Eagles will first travel to Polokwane, South Africa, to face Lesotho’s Likuena (Crocodiles) at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, 10th October, before returning to Uyo, Nigeria, for a decisive clash against Benin Republic on Tuesday, 14th October.
Nigeria currently sit third in the qualifying group, three points behind leaders Benin Republic and second-placed South Africa. The upcoming double-header presents a golden opportunity to reclaim top spot and strengthen their qualification hopes.
