Osun-based Nationwide League One (NLO) side, Oriade FC, is set to compete in the highly anticipated Skouted Youth League, a talent-focused football tournament set to kick off on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the prestigious Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The tournament, designed specifically for players under the age of 19, will feature eight emerging teams across the country in a home-and-away format. With over 500 young footballers expected to take part, the league promises a thrilling showcase of Nigeria’s grassroots football talent. Notably, scouts from elite football academies and professional outfits will be in attendance, seeking to discover the next generation of stars.

Speaking ahead of the competition, President of Oriade FC, Mr. Fikayo Olanrewaju, expressed excitement about the opportunity the tournament presents for the club and its players.

> “This is the kind of exposure our boys need. We need to show the world what we’re made of, and opportunities like this only help. The Skouted Youth League is a platform we’ve been hoping for, and we intend to make the most of it.”
Mr. Fikayo further highlighted the club’s preparation heading ahead of next season’s New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One (NLO).

> “We’ve been playing high-profile friendlies to build a formidable team that can compete at the highest level and also enhance the visibility of our players. Our most recent outing was against NPFL side Shooting Stars SC. Though we lost, the boys gave a very good account of themselves. In the Skouted Youth League, we’re ready to be the best version of ourselves. It is also part of our preparation as well as giving the boys a platform to show themselves to scouts.”
