NPFL clubs chase Akpabio FC Coach Lawrence
Coach Kingsley Lawrence looks set for a move to the Nigeria Professional Football League, as a source disclose that Senator Godswill Akpabio FC gaffer is on the shopping list of three top teams in the NPFL.
Grapevine has it that Lawrence was considered as an option by an unnamed NPFL club who fired and hired a new manager as the mid-season got off.
According to our source on Talk Naija League on social media platform, Facebook.
“Lawrence is a top coach in Nigeria domestic football, having worked with Gabros FC and a few other clubs. He’s has the pedigree to led teams in the NPFL.
“I can inform the public that he was penciled down for one of the NPFL vacant top coach on a short term base but his representative opted for a long term deal, where he would start with player recruitment, pre-season and going into the season proper.
“His coaching resume and experience, which saw him earning an NPFL promotion ticket with Dakkada FC, makes Lawrence a frontrunner for the top job.”
However, a confidant of Lawrence, who doesn’t want a mention hinted, “Coach Lawrence is definitely open to any offer, but currently he has a valid contract with Akpabio FC.
“Lawrence is satisfied with operations in Akpabio FC and is committed to ensuring the club archives is set target at the current NNL season.”
